As some of you know I run the site Support The Tour which lets fans help out artists on the road to make their touring life a bit easier. We are looking for an extra hand or two. If you have music industry experience/connections you just may be perfect. It is an unpaid position as we are not a revenue generator but would only require a couple hours a week of your time. Please shoot me an email if you are interested with your qualifications at sara@supportthetournow.com. Serious inquiries only please!

Your youth is the most important thing you will ever have. It’s when you will connect to music like a primal urge, and the memories attached to the songs will never leave you. Please hold on to everything. Keep every note, mix tape, concert ticket stub, and memory you have of music from your youth. It’ll be the one thing that might keep you young, even if you aren’t anymore. Let the music play…

Just finished reading his book. If you are interested in the music industry as a fan, artist or employee, you HAVE TO read this book. This man knows the ins and outs, the ups and downs, and how to write the best damn songs. If you don’t know who he is, shame on you but in reality you know his songs, they are everywhere. Please read this book…
For any musician out there who needs motivation, help in their search for the right words, or just a swift kick in the behind to get to working, you need to watch this. Even if you don’t write music, but you care about the music industry and it’s future, watch this. I personally do not write but this was still such an inspirational speech that makes the dreary outlook of the music industry not so bad. Seriously, I can’t emphasize it enough - WATCH THIS.
If you care at all about the music industry, free speech, entrepreneurship, etc. watch this video. It is so ridiculously important you educate yourself on SOPA and the Protect IP Act and stop them. These are so detrimental to our industry and our economy. Websites are going to be shut down on the pure suspicion of copyright infringement without any trail or judge. Tumblr, YouTube and so many more sites are in danger. Please spread the word and do what you can to stop this madness.

DITTO…this is why we’re twins
Sometime I walk around NYC with my headphones, listening to whatever song I’m listening to, and I think “I live in New York City. This is literally the greatest city on earth…and I LIVE HERE.” What am I doing? What am I doing here? And then I remember that I’m thinking about this, all while…
This is a great interview with Tom Silverman, founder of Tommy Boy Records and board member of just about every prominent record label organization.
