The Ocean - Mae
Cassadee Pope of Hey Monday has announced that she will be going on a short solo acoustic tour in late-January. It is unclear why the remaining members of Hey Monday are not joining Pope on the tour, but the dates are expected to be released sometime soon. It should also be noted that it seems Hey Monday was recently let go from Decaydance/Columbia Records.
What do you mean it’s unclear why the other members aren’t joining? Duh, she’s going solo. You had to like her page, not the band page, to hear new clips. They don’t have a label. She’s going on an acoustic tour…what’s taking everyone so long to catch on?
Freakish by Saves the Day
Well here I am, don’t know how to say this
Only thing I know is awkward silence
You close your eyelids when you’re around me
To shut me out
While thinking through my top 10 albums of the year, I couldn’t help but be distracted by all the 10 year anniversary tours and special releases this year. So in my ADD state, I instead have put together a top 10 of 2001 because it was a hell of a year….
This is the year my music tastes totally flipped. It was the year of the last Nsync album which, if you knew me, you’d know how big of a deal this was. It also included O-Towns self-titled album and, in my opinion, the best Britney album, Britney. But 2001 is when I said good bye to my pop days and moved on. I still listen to every single one of these albums in their entirety.
In no particular order:
- Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American
- Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon
- Dashboard Confessional - The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most
- Ben Folds - Rockin’ The Suburbs
- The Ataris - End is Forever
- Further Seems Forever - Moon is Down
- Yellowcard - One For The Kids
- Saves the Day - Stay What You Are
- Anti-Flag - Underground Network
- Blink 182 - Take Off Your Pants and Jacket
